Hi, I’m Angelos Georgakis and I am an executive coach to biotech CEOs/Leaders.
I’m also a mentor at Harvard i-lab and Nucleate. I am also the author of the book The Biotech Leader’s Handbook.
Email is the best way to reach me:
This work is the highest form of creation for me and I give my whole being to it. Please, serious inquiries only.
I am very active on X (Twitter) and on LinkedIn where I write about leadership, CEO excellence, high-performing teams, company culture, and that magical people element that gives a biotech the ultimate edge. I see most Twitter notifications, but email is preferable to DMs.
My why: If I can empower those good leaders who can then empower their teams to do good work that reaches the patients, I may be able to reach the patient myself and have my own impact on human health and disease.
Loving you, Angelos.
Confidentiality
I do not disclose my clients’ identities, any information that would identify them as a client, or any details of my work with them without their permission. This includes any interactions with a client’s employees, employers, colleagues, board members, investors, friends, family or other contacts.
My primary obligation is to each individual client, and I have a duty to disclose to each client any information that I believe they would view as material. This includes any information shared with me by a client’s employees, employers, colleagues, board members, investors, friends, family or other contacts.
As a consequence, I cannot maintain confidentiality with any other party if doing so would prevent me from sharing material information with a client.
My Biotech Leader Manifesto
- My leaders are good people first. Kind and loving.
- They keep patients at the centre of everything they do.
- They want their lives to have made an impact on human health and disease.
- They are ambitious, passionate, and alive.
- They have a voracious appetite to improve themselves and become the greatest leader they can be.
- They are coachable, extremely curious, and they are willing to put their ego aside in order to find the truth.
- They are monsters of commitment; they are as good as their word.
- They are virtuous, ethical, and of complete integrity.
- They care deeply about their people and believe in the power of teamwork towards the accomplishment of their overarching vision of bringing breakthrough medicines to patients.
My Coaching Philosophy
I BE with you and I love you enough to BE anything I need to BE so that you may see. I invite you into a relationship where we both speak candidly and hold nothing back. I take the risks in every interaction with you in my commitment to love, support and believe in you. I am the close and trusted ally to whom you can open up about anything that you can’t talk about with your investors, board, or anyone in the company.

From a leadership development perspective, my work usually falls under three pillars:
1) Self-Leadership (self-awareness, emotional mastery, resilience, overcoming inner struggles, ie. inner critic, imposter syndrome, the leader’s existential crises and anxieties)
2) Interpersonal Leadership (communication, co-founder relationship, team dynamics, management, feedback culture, conflict, tough conversations, managing investors and board)
3) Organisational Leadership (culture, vision, values, commitments, hiring, fundraising)

You can find a lot of resources, frameworks, and tips on biotech and leadership on my blog.
